Majid Al Futtaim welcomes Ramadan by partnering with the Marwa Fayed Toy Run, House of Cocoa, La Poire, and Nutopia to launch CSR initiatives that provide the public with the opportunity to give back to the Egyptian community.
Majid Al Futtaim has rolled out the CSR-driven activations across its four shopping malls in Egypt, namely Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Alexandria, and City Centre Maadi, which will last until Eid.
This year’s CSR efforts are in line with Majid Al Futtaim’s aim to drive focus to give back and enable visitors to contribute to society collectively.
This is evident in the partnership with the Marwa Fayed Toy Run – a charity organization that collects and donates toys to children in Egypt and around the world – and Hamleys, which aims to donate over 10,000 toys to the underprivileged community.
Commenting on the partnership, Rasha Azab, Acting Managing Director of West Region Shopping Malls at Majid Al Futtaim — Properties, noted:
“We are proud to be partnering with such a charity organization that focuses on giving back by spreading joy within underprivileged children all over the world.
During these challenging times, we are in need of positive initiatives that instigate and push for positive change, and encourage the community to come to need a good cause – both on a local and a global level.”
Majid Al Futtaim has also showcased its role as a responsible member of the community through its partnership with House of Cocoa in Mall of Egypt and City Centre Almaza and La Poire in City Centre Alexandria and Nutopia in City Centre Maadi.
A designated booth will be present exclusively at each mall’s center court, where for every purchase made at the stand, 20 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Together to Save a Human. This charity organization provides the homeless with essential shelter and care.
Rasha Azab added, “At Majid Al Futtaim, we strive to find ways to continue creating great moments for everyone across all aspects, and believe in our role in providing a space for our visitors to help contribute to the greater good of our society.
We are confident that our partnership with House of Cocoa, La Poire, and Nutopia will help us support those in need through the Together to Save a Human charity.
It is inspiring to see our community come together to create memorable experiences for the underprivileged community.”
Majid Al Futtaim opens its CSR-driven initiatives and donations to the public, allowing mall visitors to participate, contribute and donate at Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Alexandria, and City Centre Maadi during the month of Ramadan and past Eid.
