On September 27, 1979, Frank Sinatra made a journey to Egypt, where he took the stage at the foot of the Great Pyramid of Giza.
The purpose of his visit was to entertain the audience at the invitation of Jehan Sadat, the First Lady of Egypt.
The event, known as “Gala Amidst The Pyramids,” successfully generated over $500,000 in funding for the Faith and Hope Rehabilitation Center located in Cairo.
