New Research Highlights Egypt’s Commitment to Women’s Empowerment in Business: Kūdi’s Initiative Supports Egypt’s Vision 2030
Recent findings from the research group ‘The Consultants MEA,’ in collaboration with Kūdi, an association dedicated to accelerating women’s personal and professional growth in the Middle East, highlight the significant progress Egyptian women are making in leadership roles. With Egypt’s Vision 2030 driving the nation’s focus on gender equality and female empowerment, the country is witnessing a surge in women-led startups and a stronger presence of women in executive positions.
The study, which surveyed about 400 women in leadership roles across the Middle East, revealed Egypt’s growing prominence in female entrepreneurship. This growth aligns with Egypt’s national strategy to promote female participation in the workforce and support women in leadership across sectors, particularly in technology and innovation. Kūdi intends to launch programs that provide mentorship, networking opportunities, and training, all designed to empower women in their professional journeys.
Women-Led Startups: A Growing Force
Egypt has experienced a notable rise in women-led startups across various industries, including technology, e-commerce, and social enterprises. This trend is a testament to the government’s efforts under Vision 2030 to enhance female participation in the business ecosystem. Egyptian women are making their mark, driving innovation and disrupting traditional industries, contributing to the broader economic landscape.
The study also found that 87% of women leaders in Egypt are actively advocating for structural changes in their organizations to promote gender inclusivity. These women are taking decisive steps to create supportive environments where women can rise to managerial positions. Nearly 100% of women surveyed emphasized the critical role of mentorship in advancing their careers, a key component of Kūdi’s mission to empower women across the region.
Kūdi’s Contribution to Egypt’s Vision 2030
Kūdi’s initiatives are in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030, intending to provide women with the necessary resources and support to step into leadership roles. Kūdi plans to launch programs offering leadership training, global networking platforms, and speaking opportunities, all designed to empower women as they advance in their professional journeys.
Marise Assaf, Founder & CEO of Kūdi, commented, “As Egypt works towards achieving its Vision 2030 goals, Kūdi remains dedicated to ensuring women are equipped to assume leadership roles. Women’s empowerment is not just key to economic prosperity, but it is also essential to fostering sustainable growth across all sectors.”
