Building on her legacy as a 2024 Olympian, Nadine Wissam Armia is once again making history, but this time from the sidelines as a visionary leader. Through her “Special ArtSwim” academy, Armia has officially debuted the first-ever special needs artistic swimming duet in Africa and the Middle East.
This groundbreaking milestone, achieved this May in Egypt, represents a massive leap forward for inclusive sports in the region. After representing Egypt on the world’s biggest stages, Nadine founded the academy to ensure that athletes with special needs have the platform to express their creativity and athletic prowess.
This historic duet isn’t just a performance; it is a powerful message of inclusion, proving that the water belongs to everyone.
