Microsoft announced Mirna Arif’s promotion as Head Microsoft In Egypt a year after her appointment as the Country Manager to spearhead its operations in Egypt.
Mirna Arif brings over 19 years of experience spanning multinational organizations and public sector entities across the Middle East and Africa.
She joined Microsoft in 2019 as MEA Business Group Director, tasked with leading its Surface portfolio strategy and execution in the region.

Before joining Microsoft, Mirna spent several years in important roles for organizations including Schlumberger, the Ministry of Petroleum in Egypt, Emerson, and Baker Hughes GE. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in marketing and operations and a Bachelor’s in computer science from the American University in Cairo.
In 2015, Arif was appointed Regional Manager Rosemount Group at Emerson Automation Solutions Company.
She also held the position of Minister Assistant for Investment & International Cooperation at the Ministry of Petroleum, being responsible for advising on the development and implementation of the petroleum sector strategy in Egypt.
Additionally, her job included promoting international cooperation and bilateral relations between Egypt and various other countries through investment opportunities, international cooperation, and strategic dialogue.
Before holding a senior position at Emerson, Arif was Global Marketing Manager for Schlumberger in London.
She was tasked with devising the worldwide marketing strategy for the Software and Marine Operations segments.
Arif spent the first 12 years of her career in Schlumberger, where she held various senior positions, including Regional Sales Manager UK & Ireland, Regional Sales Manager, East Africa & East Mediterranean, and Egypt Business Manager.
Arif holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in marketing and operations from the American University in Cairo and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university.
