After so many rumors about the nationality of the upcoming head coach, the Egyptian football association (EFA) settled on Ehab Galal as the new head coach for the National Football team after dismissing the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz for failing to guide the team to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Moreover, they decided to dismiss Nelo Vingada, the technical director of the EFA.
And although Galal’s name has risen to one of the best Egyptian coaches in recent years. However, people have started wondering why Ehab Galal and his qualifications since the announcement was made.

So here is everything you need to know about Ehab Galal
Ehab Galal, 54 years old, started his career in football as a player for clubs ElQanah, ElShams, Ismaily SC, and Al Masry SC. But he then retired to shift to coaching and management.
Ehab Galal used to manage various clubs like El Makkasa (2014-2017), Zamalek (2017-2018), Enppi, El Masry (2018-2020), and Pyramids FC (2021-2022) before the Egyptian national team.
And currently, Ehab Galal is enjoying a great season with Pyramids FC guiding them to qualify for the Confederation Cup quarterfinals. And his results in the current season 2021/2022 of the national competition were so good that he managed the team in 23 matches; He won 16, lost 3, and drew 4 matches.
And it is not the first time Ehab Galal to be nominated
In 2019, Ehab Galal was shortlisted to be the new head coach of the national football team, but he was excluded, and the EFA decided to appoint Captain Hossam El-Badry instead.
But last September, the EFA decided to dismiss Hossam El-Badry from his position and appoint Carlos Queiroz instead till the end of the World Cup Qualifiers.
And here we’re again with Ehab Galal being finally appointed to the head coach of the national football team position after El-Badry and Queiroz’s dismissals.
The next mission for the Football national team will be the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, which will be held between 30th May and 14th June 2022. And the draws will be on 19th April.
Which means it will be in less than two months.
