Actor Amir El-Masry announced his selection as an ambassador for the United Nations international initiative, Shabab Balad.

The initiative is in cooperation with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), which was launched for the first time as part of the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum.

Egypt is the first country in the Middle East region in which this initiative has been launched.

Shabab Balad’s initiative aims to support and empower young people in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and participation.

During the official announcement, Amir El-Masry stated as an ambassador for the initiative, “I am very proud of the opportunity that the United Nations gives me through the Shabab Balad initiative.

I hope that I will directly impact young people and we all help each other. I am very happy to be selected as an ambassador for the initiative. This is a great responsibility; I hope I can have an impact.”

Most recently, Amir El-Masry received the Best Actor award at the BAFTA Scotland Awards. In Ramadan season, 2022, star Amir El-Masry took part in the TV drama The Choice 3: The Decision, which is considered the most successful TV series in the Ramadan race. He also competed at the Egyptian box office with the film Ritsa. Currently, Amir El-Masry is waiting for the release of the series Rogue Heroes soon in the UK.
