The Ministry of Education is to Introduce Japanese as a Second Language in Egyptian Schools for the 26/27 Year, in partnership with the Japan Foundation, where they officially announced vacancies for Japanese language teachers at Egyptian Japanese Schools (EJS). Starting the 2026/2027 academic year, Japanese will be introduced as a second language for the preparatory stage across ten schools in its first phase.
This strategic expansion aims to blend Egyptian curricula with Japanese “Tokkatsu” activities, fostering student character and discipline. Qualified applicants must hold a university degree and demonstrate N3 or B2 language proficiency. This initiative marks a significant milestone in diversifying educational opportunities and strengthening cultural ties between Egypt and Japan.
