Egyptian Metro Announces Extended Operating Hours for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr

Starting tomorrow, Thursday, in conjunction with the first day of Ramadan, the Egyptian Company for Managing and Operating the Metro has announced changes to the train operating hours to suit the nature of work during the holy month and Eid al-Fitr.

The Extended Egyptian Metro Operating Hours:

  • The first train from all end stations will depart at 5:15 AM.
  • The last train on Line 1 from Helwan and Marg station will depart at 12:15 AM.
  • The last train on Line 2 from Shubra El-Kheima and El-Mounib will depart at 12:30 AM.
  • The last train on Line 3 from Adly Mansour will depart at 12:07 AM.
  • The last train on Line 3 from Kit Kat will depart at 12:38 AM.
  • The last train on Line 1 and Line 2 will meet at Anwar El-Sadat station at 1:00 AM.
  • Jamal Abdel Nasser station is the interchange station for Line 1 and Line 3, and the last train will depart at 12:30 AM.
  • Al-Ataba station is the interchange station for Line 2 and Line 3, and the last train will depart at 12:30 AM.

These changes will accommodate the transportation needs of citizens during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, and allow them to plan their travel accordingly. It is recommended that passengers check the updated train schedules to avoid any inconvenience or delays.
