- Staff Content Writer

BUSINESS GROWTH MANAGER
El-Shai is looking for a Business Growth Manager who can help us find new clients, develop commercial opportunities, and turn conversations into paid projects.
This is not a traditional sales position based on sending generic messages or making cold calls all day. We are looking for someone who understands media, content, advertising, and client relationships, and knows how to present El-Shai’s work in a way that responds to what each client actually needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Growth Manager will be responsible for bringing new business to El-Shai, from identifying potential clients and opportunities to preparing proposals, leading meetings, closing deals, and managing client relationships.
Working Arrangement
This is a full-time, hybrid position, divided between working from home and our office in Mohandeseen.
You must be available to attend the office when required. If Mohandeseen is not a practical work location for you, please do not apply.
This role is not suitable for someone who currently has another job and intends to balance both positions. Freelance commitments must not interfere with your availability or responsibilities at El-Shai.
The position includes a three-month probation period.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and identify potential clients, leads, and commercial opportunities.
• Proactively approach brands, agencies, organizations, and other potential clients.
• Promote El-Shai’s services, including branded content, social media campaigns, video production, interviews, event coverage, and customized media solutions.
• Understand each potential client’s needs and recommend relevant services and ideas.
• Arrange and lead meetings, pitches, and presentations.
• Prepare customized proposals, presentations, quotations, and service packages.
• Follow up with leads and manage the sales process from the first conversation until the agreement is signed.
• Negotiate budgets, deliverables, timelines, and commercial terms.
• Maintain an organized pipeline of leads, meetings, proposals, and closed projects.
• Manage client communication after closing and serve as the main point of contact throughout the project.
• Translate client requests into clear briefs for El-Shai’s editorial, social media, design, photography, and production teams.
• Coordinate internally to ensure that projects are delivered according to the agreed scope and timeline.
• Identify opportunities to renew, expand, or upsell existing client accounts.
• Represent El-Shai professionally in meetings, events, and relevant industry spaces.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• At least three years of relevant experience in business development, media sales, advertising, digital marketing, PR, account management, or a related field.
• Previous experience within a media platform, advertising agency, digital agency, production company, or similar creative business is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to prepare professional and persuasive proposals and presentations.
• A clear understanding of social media, branded content, media campaigns, and digital advertising.
• The confidence to lead client meetings and represent El-Shai independently.
• Strong organization and follow-up skills.
• A results-driven mindset and comfort working toward revenue targets.
• Existing relationships within the advertising, media, agency, or brand market are an advantage, but not a requirement.
COMPENSATION
• EGP 20,000 net monthly salary.
• Uncapped commission on collected business.
• Higher commission for clients personally sourced and closed by the employee.
• Additional commission opportunities for renewals and account growth.
• Three-month probation period.

Content Creator & Staff Writer
We’re looking for a full-time Content Creator and Staff Writer who understands Egypt, follows what people are talking about, and always has a clear point of view.
The technical side of content creation can be learned. What matters is knowing what you want to show, what you want to say, and why anyone should care. If you expect to regularly say, “I don’t have any ideas,” this role is not for you.
About the Role
You’ll create timely, engaging content covering everything from Egyptian pop culture and entertainment to breaking news and social issues.
We’re looking for someone who can combine sharp reporting with the wit of a well-informed friend. You should be able to make serious subjects digestible and lighthearted subjects meaningful, all while respecting the reader’s time.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor Egyptian and international trends to identify relevant stories.
- Pitch original ideas that fit El-Shai’s audience and editorial voice.
- Write high-impact articles with direct headlines, useful context, and a clear angle.
- Cover breaking news quickly and accurately.
- Turn complex information and sources into clear, professional English.
- Create mobile-first content using short paragraphs, clear headers, and active language.
- Use humor and relatable cultural references naturally when the subject allows.
- Approach sensitive topics with empathy and without sounding judgmental or preachy.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to maintain El-Shai’s conversational but professional voice.
- Make global stories relevant to Egyptian readers by adding the necessary local context.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a writer who hates fluff, corporate jargon, and empty phrases. You know that “delving deep” belongs in a 19th-century novel and that “unleashing potential” belongs on a motivational poster, not in digital media.
More importantly, you don’t simply live in Egypt; you understand it. You follow niche communities, recognize viral references before they reach the mainstream, and understand the specific rhythm of Egyptian life.
Requirements
- One to three years of experience in digital media, journalism, writing, or content creation.
- Exceptional professional English writing skills. This is our primary publishing language and is non-negotiable.
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian society, entertainment, online culture, and current affairs.
- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy, quality, or personality.
- Arabic writing skills are a significant advantage but are not required.
- A reliable home working setup and stable internet connection.
