As part of its celebration of 25 years in the Egyptian market, Vodafone Egypt has launched its advertising campaign “El-Kelma El-Helwa” which serves as a message of gratitude and appreciation from the company to its customers. This year’s campaign reflects Vodafone’s presence as an integral part of every customer’s life. The company has become a witness to the memories and important moments shared among 47 million customers over 25 years.
Ramadan 2024 advertising campaign “El-Kelma El-Helwa featuring Megastar Amr Diab, has achieved great success since its launch. It showcases the company’s role in the daily lives of its customers. The campaign emphasizes the company’s ability to connect with over 47 million customers over 25 years, whether through a call, message or sometimes through services that Vodafone Egypt was the first to launch. The campaign conveyed this message simply and easily through scenes of human relationships and shared experiences. The campaign garnered over 600 million views on social media platforms, and the song “El-Kelma El-Helwa” became a trend on Anghami platform in the first week of Ramadan. Additionally, many customers shared their stories with the Vodafone network through the “Ana Vodafone” application, where an interactive experience was provided for customers to learn about their phone number history with the company and get to know the top 3 people they communicated with throughout the years.
Over 25 years, Vodafone Egypt has been able to innovate and evolve its services to become more than just a mobile operator. It has been at the forefront of introducing various services to its customers, keeping pace with their needs and the changes in the sector. The company has invested EGP 90 billion in network infrastructure to provide telecommunications services of better quality. It was the first to introduce many services, such as SMS service in 1999, followed by services like “Salefny Shokran” and “Kalemny Shokran.” Additionally, it launched Vodafone Cash, which is relied upon by over 18 million customers daily. These services reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing communication with its customers in every way.
In addition to developing services and providing sectoral support, the company has shown great interest in supporting the Egyptian community and fostering a sense of social responsibility among its employees and even its customers. It was the first telecommunications company to launch a community foundation in 2003. Vodafone Egypt and the Vodafone Egypt Foundation have worked over the years to achieve the goal of building an inclusive digital society that serves Egyptian citizen and facilitates their daily lives.
This year, the company has succeeded in achieving its goal of supporting and developing the Egyptian community by spreading joy and “El-Kelma El-Helwa” through tangible community initiatives across the country. Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development and the company’s employees participated in the “Al-Manfaz” initiative, reflecting the company’s belief in the importance of collaboration between private sector companies to develop and facilitate the lives of Egyptian citizens. Together, the foundation and company employees prepared 50,000 Ramadan boxes to be distributed in more than 20 governorates across Egypt.
In addition to its cooperation with the “Hayah Karima” Foundation in the “Convoys of Happiness” initiative to organize celebratory Ramadan Iftar gatherings to un-privilege governorates, including Cairo, Giza, the Delta, and Upper Egypt, alongside the company’s surprises and celebrations with these communities in the streets of Egypt, which contributed to spreading joy and happiness among more than 50,000 Egyptian citizens.
Continuing its successes and celebrating 25 years since its launch, the company concluded Ramadan 2024 with the success of the partnership established last year between the Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development and the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, “From the Heart to the Heart… Thank You from Here to Tomorrow.” This partnership resulted in donations reaching 25 million pounds and the completion of open-heart surgeries for children daily since last year until today, to bring happiness to the families of the children and instill hope in their lives anew.
