The Public Prosecution of Nasser Facility decided to refer a young man to trial before the Criminal Court on charges of blackmailing a girl with personal photos of her through the “WhatsApp” application.
The security apparatus in the Cairo Security Directorate successfully apprehended a young man involved in blackmailing a girl in the jurisdiction of the Mansheyat Nasser police station. He sent messages containing personal photos of her after a citizen reported being affected by a WhatsApp user sending messages to his daughter, including private photos accompanied by phrases that involved blackmail in exchange for not tarnishing her reputation by publishing those photos.
Using modern security techniques and intensifying search efforts, the investigations revealed that the perpetrator of the incident is an individual residing in the jurisdiction of the Mansheyat Nasser police station in Cairo Governorate.
After legal procedures were formalized in coordination with the General Security Sector and the Cairo Security Directorate, the suspect was targeted and apprehended. Upon searching him, a mobile phone was found, which upon examination revealed evidence of his involvement in the incident. Confronted with the evidence, he confessed to committing the incident as mentioned, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
