The annual event, which began in 2016, has grown into one of the most respected platforms for scientific exchange in the Middle East and North Africa, connecting dermatologists, trichologists, pharmacists, and global experts to explore the future of skin and hair health.
What started nearly a decade ago with just 250 dermatology specialists has now become a landmark scientific event, drawing over 800 participants from across Egypt and the region. This year’s milestone edition celebrated not only ten years of the summit but also 13 years of the L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division’s presence in Egypt — a division that has continuously advanced medical beauty through science, empowerment, and social impact.
Science, Empowerment, and Social Impact
Throughout the summit, L’Oréal Egypt showcased its dedication to three core pillars: Science, Empowerment and Education, and Social Impact. The event featured a range of workshops and expert-led sessions, highlighting the latest research on acne, hyperpigmentation, atopic dermatitis, eczema, and hair transplantation science.
It also introduced new editions of the E-Derms Academy, an initiative designed to help dermatologists create responsible and evidence-based medical content across digital platforms.

On the sidelines of the event, the company re-announced its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Healthcare Authority, reaffirming its commitment to expanding access to dermatological care across the country.

Another key highlight was the announcement of a new Dermatology and Oncology Unit at Baheya Foundation in collaboration with La Roche-Posay under the “Fight With Care” program, led by Professor Dr. Rehab Hegazy. The unit will provide specialized care for cancer patients, addressing the unique dermatological challenges that accompany cancer treatments — a project that blends medical innovation with human compassion.
The Skin & Hair Summit also maintained its accreditation from the American Academy of Continuous Medical Education (AACME), granting participating dermatologists valuable CME hours as they engaged in scientific discussions, research updates, and professional development. This accreditation reinforces the summit’s global credibility and L’Oréal Egypt’s dedication to advancing dermatological education to international standards.
