Cairo’s Economic Court has sentenced Suzy El Ordonya to one year in prison and a EGP 100,000 fine after finding her guilty of posting “indecent” and “morally inappropriate” videos on her TikTok accounts.
According to the case files, Suzy used her platforms to share videos and livestreams containing explicit language and gestures deemed offensive to public morals and Egyptian family values.
The prosecution stated that she “committed a public indecent act” during one of her live sessions, which was later recorded and circulated on other social media platforms.
Authorities confirmed that her actions “violated societal norms and family ethics,” as cited in the monitoring reports and investigations.
The ruling follows a broader investigation that also led to the freezing of Suzy’s financial assets and those of her parents. Banks received official instructions to block all transactions involving their accounts and properties, pending further legal review.
The investigation revealed that Suzy owned a gold iPhone 16 Pro Max, an apartment in New Cairo, and EGP 139,682 in an Etisalat Cash wallet. Officials said these items were confiscated as part of the case.
The case gained traction after security authorities tracked Suzy’s TikTok account, which contained what officials described as “content in direct violation of Egyptian traditions and decency standards.”
