Eid Al Adha

Cairo is launching special public transport lines to major tourist and entertainment destinations across Greater Cairo for Eid al-Adha. The temporary holiday network ensures direct, hassle-free access to key attractions, as El Qanater, the Pyramids and Sphinx area, the International Park in Nasr City, Al-Azhar and Badr parks, the Japanese Garden and October 6 Park in Helwan, and the Citadel area in Old Cairo, as well as various Greater Cairo zones popular with holiday crowds.

To handle the heavy holiday crowds, the Public Transport Authority is deploying its newest, most modern bus fleet to these designated routes. Operations will be backed by intensive field monitoring teams and 24/7 GPS tracking to maintain scheduling efficiency and handle emergencies.

Additionally, local authorities are tightening inspections at microbus and service stations across the capital to enforce fixed transit tariffs, completely preventing any fare exploitation or unauthorized price hikes during the holiday season.
