Retal Abdel Aziz is a young Egyptian actress whose journey in the industry started at a very early age and quickly evolved from curiosity into real experience on screen. She has been part of several productions across television, film, and advertising, including appearances in Zay El-Shams, Ahlam Saeida, 80 Bako, Aysha El Dor, Feeha Eh Yaani, and Kan Ya Makan, alongside multiple commercials that marked her first steps in front of the camera. In our interview, Retal opens up about how her passion began in a very simple moment, when she watched a scene from Nelly & Sherihan that stayed with her and pushed her to imitate it at home. That playful imitation became her first connection to acting and eventually led her to attend casting sessions. She recalls her first experience in front of the camera as both nerve-wracking and exciting, not knowing what to expect but willing to try something completely new.
After her first casting, the production team contacted her mother and offered her a role in an advertisement, which became the starting point of her professional journey. From there, she gradually entered more projects and found herself working alongside experienced actors who helped shape her understanding of the craft. She describes each experience as a learning opportunity that pushed her forward. Despite starting young, Retal says fame never became a barrier in her life.
She still enjoys spending time with her family, going out normally, and meeting fans who approach her with appreciation and support. For her, these moments add to the joy of the journey rather than taking away from it. One of the most meaningful parts of her career so far, she says, was her role in Kan Ya Makan, where she felt a strong responsibility to make audiences truly feel the emotional depth of the story.

قبلنا ريتال عبد العزيز واحدة من الوجوه الشابة الصاعدة في التمثيل في مصر، كانت مجرد طفلة بتتفرج على مشهد من مسلسل “نيلي وشيريهان” وبيعلق في دماغها بشكل كبير. المشهد ده خلّاها تقلده في البيت من باب اللعب والحب، ومن هنا بدأت أول شرارة حقيقية لرحلتها مع التمثيل من غير ما تكون مدركة إن ده ممكن يتحول لمستقبل كامل. في حوارنا معاها، ريتال بتحكي إن أول مرة راحت فيها كاستنج كانت تجربة مليانة توتر، لأنها أول مرة تقف قدام كاميرا في حياتها، ومكنتش عارفة هتواجه إيه أو هتتسأل عن إيه. ومع كده كان فيها حماس كبير لتجربة حاجة جديدة مختلفة تمامًا. وبعد أول كاستنج، فريق العمل كلم والدتها وطلبوا منها تشارك في إعلان، وده كان بداية دخولها الفعلي لعالم التمثيل. بعدها بدأت رحلتها في مجموعة من الأعمال ما بين الدراما والسينما والإعلانات، من بينها “زي الشمس”، “أحلام سعيدة”، “80 باكو”، “عايشة الدور”، “فيها إيه يعني”، و“كان يا مكان”، ومع كل تجربة كانت بتتعلم حاجة جديدة من الممثلين اللي اشتغلت معاهم، وبتحس إنها بتقرب أكتر من نفسها كممثلة. رغم بدايتها المبكرة، ريتال بتقول إن الشهرة ما أثرتش على حياتها بشكل سلبي، لأنها لسه قادرة تعيش بشكل طبيعي، تخرج مع عيلتها، وتتفاعل مع جمهورها بعفوية وسعادة. واحدة من أهم محطاتها كانت مسلسل “كان يا مكان”، اللي حسّت فيه بمسؤولية كبيرة إنها توصل مشاعر الأطفال بشكل حقيقي يخلي المشاهد يعيش التجربة معاهم. وبره التمثيل، عندها شغف كبير بالسينما المصرية القديمة، وبتعتبر أفلام زي “أفواه وأرانب” مصدر إلهام ليها، وكمان بتعشق فاتن حمامة والجيل القديم اللي شكّل وعيها الفني. شاهدوا الحوار الكامل مع ريتال عبد العزيز الآن على يوتيوب ElShai أو على موقعنا El-Shai.com
