Giza authorities have announced scheduled partial and full nightly closures on the 6th of October Bridge from May 28 to June 5, 2026, for asphalt maintenance. Closures apply in phases and only from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM; traffic fully resumes daily afterward.
- Heading to Cairo (May 28):
Take a U-turn under Dokki Bridge, head back, and use the Nawal Street ramp to access October Bridge.
- Heading to Al-Batal Ahmed Abdel Aziz (May 29):
Exit via Shahin ramp onto El-Mathaf El-Zeraey (Agricultural Museum) Street and continue straight.
- Heading from Nawal to Agouza (May 30–31):
Use the remaining open half of the lane or take the ground-level Agouza corniche.
- Heading from Agouza to Shahin Ramp (June 4–5):
Use the unclosed half of the lane or navigate ground-level roads through Nawal and Dokki.
