May be Gamal Ratib didn’t make it to Hollywood but he definitely made it globally. Unlike other Egyptian actors who started in Egypt and moved to foreign cinema, Ratib started his cinematic career in France.
He was also a member in a theatrical band that came to Egypt to perform, and that’s when he was introduced first to the Egyptian cinema.
